Completing the jigsaw

Whilst source is undoubtedly the most important part of any hi-fi system – whether it’s a turntable, digital streamer or CD player, the rest of the system can only reproduce as best it can what it is given – the complimentary components are crucial to completing your musical jigsaw and creating your perfect system.

Amplifiers

Integral to any great music system is amplification - the powerhouse which controls and magnifies. It is the heart of your system - pre, power, integrated, Class A - all technologies have their own benefits.

Electronics

The other bits. Some streamers include DACs, some also have a CD drive and some contain their own power supplies, but all of these functions can also be performed by standalone units. Here we’ll cover some of the reasons why you might want to go down this route and the possibilities along it.

Compact and Portable

Not everybody aspires to a grand stack of hi-fi separates. Personal circumstances, or choice, often dictate that a small and compact, even portable music system is preferred.

Loudspeakers

The final piece of the jigsaw; where music springs to life and into the listener’s ears. Often the most personal of choices, a great loudspeaker will absorb you completely and take you to the heart of the musical performance.

We have selected ranges from PMC, ProAc, Shahinian, Harbeth, Bowers & Wilkins and others – bookshelf, floor-standing or on-wall.

Headphones

Closing off the outside world and immersing yourself right in the middle of the music makes the performance more intimate and incredibly detailed, eliminating ambient noise and other distractions.
