21 August 2020
Naim Uniti Core firmware update with release 2.5.3 is now live and available. This release delivers the following:
- Support for drives up to 8TB
- Support for sorting of playlists by creation date
- UPnP server now has folders containing content that the user has added as favourites via the Naim app (requires app .17 release)

It also improves:
- Network share discovery
- General stability
And, it delivers fixes to address:
- Scheduled backups occasionally not running
- Disk initialisation occasionally failing when re-initialising an already formatted hard drive
- Slow initialisation of NTFS file systems on large hard drives
- Network shares being intermittently discovered in some network setups
- Core shared network folders not always being seen by macOS 10.15 Catalina
- Some large hard drives initialised as an HFS Music Store occasionally not mounting on a Mac
- Deleting an album that is comprised of tracks in the root of the downloads folder (i.e not in any folders), occasionally causing the /Downloads folder to become unavailable
- The same artwork being shown for multiple albums
- Restoration of backup to local store
- Some NAS drives moving files to the recycle bin failing on the first attempt
