343 – Linn reference sound; compact, curvaceous form
23 October 2026
You know it’s a big occasion when Linn invites it’s worldwide specialist retailer base to Glasgow for a product launch, and last month was one such event. Team Adventures travelled to Linn for the grand unveiling of Linn 343 – Compact, Reference Loudspeaker; the first to be designed around Linn’s groundbreaking Pistonik driver technology.
343s boast all of the proprietary tech of flagship 360s with a downward firing bass driver, taking advantage of the power, control and accuracy of Pistonik to allow Linn product designers to indulge a continuous, sculpted cabinet.
As with 360, Linn 343 comes in two versions – fully integrated Exakt, where the integrated module houses all the electronics required to drive and control the loudspeaker – Utopik power supply, Exakt digital crossover, Power DAC architecture, Organik DACs and Adaptive Bias Control amplification, requiring only a Linn head unit to complete the system. And PWAB (passive with active bass) with Utopik and Power DAC dedicated to its Pistonik bass system, whilst the upper bass, midrange and tweeter are driven by your choice of external amplification.
The modules in both versions are mounted using a three-point spring system, decoupling it from the cabinet, and are cooled entirely passively, with no fan (and therefore no fan noise!) via a custom aluminium heat sink with internal fins that draws air upwards through the module like a chimney, and out through the machined vent at the top of the loudspeaker.
The 343 cabinet is perhaps the biggest departure from 360s (aside from size!) – the latter’s wood construction replaced by a moulded, composite unit with sculpted form to support wide dispersion and an exceptionally wide listening area.
These are for people who could not quite accommodate Linn 360s, whether for budgetary or space constraints, but who still seek Linn reference loudspeaker performance. PWABs are £45,000 and Exakt are £65,000.
As you would expect, these sound very good indeed, and if you’re interested in a listen, get in touch.
