Naim Audio Uniti Nova

Naim Uniti Nova has landed

8 September 2017

As product launches go, it has certainly been a lengthy one, but Adventures in Hi-Fi ground control can confirm: Naim Uniti Nova has finally landed. And here it is in our dem room to prove it!

Nova joins Atom and Core as the third member of the new Uniti family from Naim Audio. The reference player in the range, Nova has been configured to offer Naim’s ultimate single-box performance.

Based on a completely new streaming platform – more powerful and versatile than previous iterations – the Nova delivers 80 watts per channel of Class A/B amplification, capable of driving the most demanding loudspeakers.

Nova supports TIDAL, Spotify, AirPlay and Bluetooth (aptX HD) as you would expect, as well as of course streaming from your own music library on PC or NAS drive. But it also boasts Google Cast, allowing you to stream direct from your web browser. Handy for example, for high-res streaming from Qobuz (not supported yet but imminent). You can also easily plug in and play from a USB drive or SD card (with up to 20,000 tracks). Nifty.

With digital and analogue inputs aplenty, pre-out and a front panel headphone socket for when the neighbours / spouse / children complain, this is as complete a one-box system as we’ve seen. And the new Naim App makes control super-easy. It will seamlessly integrate with other Naim players (including Muso), and can serve up to 4 networked players in a multi-room configuration.

Worth the wait? Oh yes. Book a dem to find out.
