NEW AcouPlex Turntable Mat – lower the noise (floor)

We’ve been playing about recently with a revolutionary new absorption material from MusicWorks, the UK Accuphase distributor and manufacturer of isolation and clean power products.

The material is AcouPlex – an acrylic-based composite that has a remarkable effect on audio signal quality. AcouPlex can be used in a number of applications – equipment racks, power blocks, isolation platforms and feet, speaker spikes – and one which we found incredibly effective, the AcouPlex turntable mat.

As we all know, turntables create a cacophony of noise – mechanical and electrical – it’s inherent in their construction and number of moving parts. That noise leads to distortion, negatively impacting music. Each turntable component strives to minimise this noise, and AcouPlex turntable mat does this magnificently, absorbing a huge amount of vibration and electrical interference to have a profound influence on the music produced.
