Rega Planar 3 packages

Rega’s Planar 3 turntable is 45 this year. And boy, has it has aged ever so well.

First launched in April 1975, the current Planar 3 (top pic) looks not dissimilar to the original (bottom pic), but sounds a world apart; in a good way.

Rega has seen unprecedented demand for it’s turntables over the past year, so much so that supply of Rega’s Elys2 cartridge – previously packaged with Planar 3 – has become untenable and Rega can no longer offer this package (Planar 3 is unaffected).

But Rega (being Rega?) have solved this problem with a win win solution – Planar 3 is now available as a package with Rega’s superior Exact moving magnet cartridge for a package price of £799, saving £69.
