Vinylfinders Southport – anything but just another record store!

We are thrilled for our good friend Paul Darwin who opens his beloved Vinylfinders record store today, Wed 21st February, in it’s new location at 7 Wesley Street, Southport.

Paul is a legend in UK Hi-fi, working at Naim Audio, Arcam and Rega Research, but mostly he is a music FANATIC!

For 50 years he’s been collecting vinyl, CDs and music memorabilia as an ardent festival/gig-goer, tour manager and concert promoter for Outlaw Artists and Bandstand Entertainments. He’s worked with the likes of Genesis, Lenny Kravitz, ZZ Top, The Damned, Iron Maiden, Ian Gillan, Black Sabbath, Sugarcubes, John Martyn, Tears For Fears, The Teardrop Explodes, The Smiths, The Housemartins, The Beautiful South, Mark Knopfler, Violent Femmes and loads more.

Now he is offering his extensive collection to the public and there are some rare finds indeed! Vinylfinders will also be buying pre-loved music so perhaps some swaps available??

The shop is looking great, do pop by for a visit and browse. There’ll be great coffee, excellent tunes and you only have to listen to Paul’s questionable chat if you want to!
