Naim Audio has announced the end of life of two products from it’s line up – CD 5si and NAIT 5si.
CD 5si CD player (£1699) and the NAIT 5si integrated amplifier (£1699) both have limited stock still available, which means that now is the last chance to purchase either. It also means this is the final few units of any Naim CD player… for now at least.

There’s been a lot of buzz lately about Qobuz Connect and Naim Audio is the latest manufacturer to integrate it to it’s range of streaming products.
Qobuz Connect enables users to stream music directly to their music streamer(s), using the Qobuz app (mobile or desktop) for control rather than Bluetooth or third-party software, such as the Focal & Naim app. Which opens up access to the full range of features within Qobuz, and the highest possible Qobuz audio quality. Not to mention avoiding some of the glitches and frustrations inherent in many manufacturer apps.

Important Software Advisory
Updating to Davaar 110 (or later releases) will take longer than usual. This is due to the update package itself being substantially larger than usual. It is vital that the update process is uninterrupted. Please be patient; under no circumstances should the product be power cycled once the update has started.
If an update is interrupted, the DS/DSM will likely no longer appear in Manage Systems. In this case, updates can often be resumed and completed via the Linn App interface.

Crestron Home driver for Naim Streamers

Good news if you have a Crestron home control system and a current Naim streamer: Naim and Focal have added Crestron Home driver support for their ranges of music-streaming systems and wireless hi-fi loudspeaker Diva Utopia.
The new driver allows control of connected Naim products from Crestron’s wide range of touchscreens, remote controls and apps, so our high-performance music players can be more easily integrated into discreet custom installations. The driver also supports volume control and source switching through the Crestron Home interface, with streaming and navigation accessible directly through the Focal & Naim app.
Naim iRadio Service Issues

As you may be aware, the iRadio service on Naim’s older products went down over the weekend. Caused by an unexpected change to the third-party legacy internet radio server, the issue has impacted products both new and older.
Here are the instructions to fix the issue. In all cases, please ensure the Focal & Naim app is up to date.

Rega Price Rise 1st Feb

Rega Research has done a very good job of keeping price rises to a minimum in recent years, making it’s excellent turntable and related products accessible to the masses.
But Rega is not immune to increasing materials, manufacturing and staffing costs, notably the rise on employer NI, and cannot absorb all of these. So, prices will go up from this Saturday, 1st February, by approximately 5%.
